Faculty
Joseph Gold, lecturer in the School of Education, died May 19, 2022. He joined the faculty in 1993 and retired in 1999.
Robert M. Isgro, SUNY Distinguished Service Professor Emeritus of Music, served from 1963 to 1998 and died March 15, 2022. He was chair of the Department of Music in its formative years (1969 to 81 and 1990 to 92). He also led the renowned Chamber Singers choral ensemble, traveling to regional, national and international venues to perform through the years. Under his leadership, the Chamber Singers produced 13 volumes of recorded music, several of which were broadcast on public radio stations across the nation.
Alan Shank, professor of political science, died on June 5, 2022. He joined the faculty in 1970 and served as chair from 1984 until his retirement in 2001. He was instrumental in adding international relations as a major in 1996.
