FACULTY
Leonard Moss, retired professor of English, who directed a program on comparative literature and retired in 1989, died May 28, 2020.
Paul Hepler, professor emeritus of art, who taught at Geneseo from 1956 to 2001 and served as the chair of the fine arts department, died July 25, 2020.
Jane Hogan, associate professor emerita of education, who taught at Geneseo from 1982 to 2001, died June 9, 2020. During her tenure, she served as acting associate dean of academic advisement and acting graduate dean, and was the director of the Holcomb School from 1975 to 1978.
William Leyerle, retired lecturer in the department of music, who taught from 1975 to 2008, died June 27, 2020. He taught voice and vocal literature and received the Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in Teaching.
Rose-Marie Chierici, professor emerita of anthropology, died Aug. 14, 2020. She taught from 1994 to 2014 and served as chair of the anthropology department. She was also the co-founder of Haiti Outreach Pwoje Espwa (H.O.P.E.), an organization focused on promoting social justice and development in Haiti.
