FACULTY
Lawrence L. Bonacquisti, a student teaching supervisor and adjunct lecturer in the Ella Cline Shear School of Education from 1997 to 2016, died on Jan. 9, 2020.
Dolores A. Donnelly, retired dean of College Union and student activities, died on April 6, 2020. She served Geneseo from 1966 to 1991 and oversaw the construction and opening of the MacVittie College Union in 1970.
Edward G. Janosik, retired professor of political science and World War II veteran and Purple Heart recipient, died on March 7, 2020. While at Geneseo from 1967 through 1985, he founded the political science department and served as its chair for nearly two decades.
Dale Metz ’70, professor emeritus of communicative disorders and sciences, who taught from 1991 to 2011, died on March 25, 2020.
Wendell Rhodes, professor of anthropology emeritus, died on Jan. 13, 2020. He served from 1959 to 1989 and was chair of the Department of Anthropology. In 1981, he received the SUNY Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in Teaching and established the Dr. Wendell and Barbara Rhodes Research Award to support undergraduate research and field study in the combined areas of natural and social sciences.
