In 1997, the Kodak DC120 was one of the first consumer digital cameras sold. Dennis Showers, interim director of the Ella Cline Shear School of Education, remembers when first got them for teaching. It was 1.2 megapixels and cutting-edge tech.

Now, he just uses his smartphone.
