Geneseo Dance Ensemble 50th Anniversary Celebration

April 19 to 22, 2018 | Campus and Geneseo village

Celebration activities include dance performances, alumni panel discussions, master classes, and a special anniversary reception for the ensemble, which is led by Professor of Dance Jonette Lancos. New choreography will be introduced by alumni guest artists and dance faculty. There will be a featured performance, “Dancing Past to Present: Celebrating Fifty Years.”

Healthy Eating

Feb. 15, 2018, 6 to 8 p.m. | Wegmans Test Kitchen, Rochester, N.Y.

Jonna Anne, director of culinary operations for Geneseo Campus Auxiliary Services, Wendy Pogozelski, Distinguished Teaching Professor of Chemistry, and Paul Vroman, executive chef at Next Door by Wegmans, will offer a cooking demo and share their expertise on nutrition topics.

Internationally known singer and composer Ysaye Barnwell ’67/ MS ’68 will be interviewed by Emilye Crosby, professor of history and coordinator of Black Studies, as part of the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Commemoration. Barnwell will also lead a Community Sing on Feb. 27 at 6 p.m. in the MacVittie Ballroom.
