Gary Chase ’66 retired from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). He has opened his own consulting firm, Gary L. Chase Consulting in Elkins, W.Va. Mary Weidman Harris ’66 retired from teaching in the Cherry School District in Englewood, Colo. Ralph Harris ’66 retired from his work as a software engineer with Northrop Grumman Mission Systems in Aurora, Colo. Bette MacIntyre Simmons ’66 retired as principal of SCT Boces in Elmira, N.Y. William Byrnes ’67 is the chief operating officer for ICMA - Retirement Corp. in Washington, D.C. Eugene Gagliano ’69 received the 2004 Wyoming State Literacy Award from the International Reading Association. He is a teacher at Meadowlark Elementary School in Sheridan, Wyo.

She is co-founder of the Tubberclaire Children’s Theatre Workshop and also co-founded New Horizon, a support group based in Athlone for refugees and asylum seekers. Richard Gardner has, to date, walked around forty-one lakes, including all the Finger Lakes and Lake Champlain. He has posted a website journaling his walks which can be accessed at http://www.lakecompasser.com. John Kerr was designated as Geneseo’s delegate to the inauguration of Thomas J. Haas as the 10th President of SUNY Cobleskill, in Cobleskill, N.Y. John is an English professor at Cobleskill. Judith Gorsky Pitt retired as the special education intervention specialist from the Fairborn City School District in Fairborn, Ohio. Lois Harter Slade was promoted to planning services manager with N.C. Parternship for Children in Raleigh, N.C.
